First off, just wanted to say hi to CYn, Eddie Blue Eyes, Mocha, Ms Jen, and that Bruised Booty!! its been a minute but Im due for a bloggy!!
the picture is of Ann Dunham. You probably have heard of her son, Barack Obama. Is she smiling down on him ...ya think? You ever wonder (as a single mother of a bi racial kid) if she ever thought of her blessing as a burden? Judging by the type of man he turned out to be, i doubt if that ever crossed her mind.
yet so many of the parents of today, dont consider their children as blessings. They consider them as burdens and props!
In my state (Maryland) there have been a major string of child homicides associated with divorce and depression. Each time i hear of such i cringe, cry and just want to hug my babies even more... Two things strike at the core of this:
Divorce - - many of these murders, were due to custody battles, and the fact that one parent thought the best way to hurt the other was to kill the kids. STOOPID! The most recent murders occured over the weekend. A father took his 3 kids ages 6, 5 and 2. To the Marriott at the Inner Harbor of Baltimore. He drowned each in the tub, then laid them beside each other naked. He stabbed himself in the throat and then took 100 motrin. He thought this would kill him, but when he woke up the next morning he knew it was time to call the cops! WTF.... His wife had pleaded with the court to suspend his visitation, damn damn damn, was anyone listening? People going through divorce, the issue is with your ex not with the DAMN KIDS!! leave them out of it!
Depression: Many of the culprits were severly suffering from depression based on the divorce proceedings and other issues. Seeing the ex with another person, knowing that the relationship was truly over. People have different ways of grieving over the ending of a relationship. Some are ill equipped to deal with life as it is, let alone the disolution of a marriage and family. People if you think you are depressed guess what? YOU ARE!.. seek help, and get it for your own salvation!! I have been there, and I mean at the very pit of hell in my own mind. I had issues with the ending of a marriage and my life in general, yet at no time.. no time PRAISE GOD, did i seek to end the lives of my babies ...my own life held in the balance on a daily, but by ending it what would I have condemmed my babies to? Yep Been there and I survived because i wanted to live more than i wanted to die or kill... yet I can understand totally the GRIP and utter domination that depression can hold you in.
Based on these occurences, I truly have to wonder if parents today, actually LOVE their kids. Or do they consider them as burdens, dependents, props etc... If one truly values these precious gifts, if one truly honors the meaning of this blessing, then how could they really consider anything less?

A word used to describe someone who frequently agrees to go somewhere or do something and then either drops out at the last minute, or simply doesn't show up.
I rarely came in contact with FLAKEY individuals in real life, but damn since I been dating people from the INTERNET LAWD LAWD!! A friend gave me the expression: "FLAKEY INTERNET BROAD" I about died, til I realized how appropriate the term was, for many "NOT ALL" women online...
Why the hell is that? Do people just seem to lose all sense of reliability once they start communicating on the internet? Is it the attention that women get that intoxicates them to the point of being FLAKAGE all the damn time!

Im no freaking authority by a long shot, but I have seen enough to know that the FLAKAGE factor on the internet as a whole is freaking through the ROOF!....Im not a perfect human, and i dont claim to be. Yet I am a real person, who deals in reality, so I on occassion just dont understand how some people live with themselves and their actions. I have talked to some whom I had the utmost respect and admiration, only to find out through meeting them that they were not even worthy of a figment of my imagination! I know that is some rough shyt, but hey, the people out here that are fronting left and right deserve no LESS! ..
give me 3 instances of FLAKEY behavior you just cant stomach!
lastly: I am more than amused with myspace, and multiply, but if you really want to laugh your azz off, just browse through some profiles on yahoo or other personals. Women write things that just make me say "What sense does that make?
1 - - Woman says that she will run a full background check on any new dating prospect. Ok so if you have been burned before, lied to, and betrayed, what good does a background check do when you are still picking from the same horrible batch of men?
What sense does that make? Change your views, expand your mind to other possibilities. If Blackmen recently released from jail in bmore are wearing you out, stop dating THEM!! Ever think that its not them but YOU?
2 - Woman says that she wants a serious relationship, and let's all prospects know that she is legally separated or recently divorced, doesnt have a car, just moved back in with her mom, and is looking for a job....OOOOOOKKKKKKK
so is this person really ready for a SERIOUS RELATIONSHIP when her life is in total chaos, and she is ever so vulnerable to spontaneous LOVE infatuations!!!
What sense does that make? makes plenty sense to her....and the men that will leverage that vulnerability to the utmost....maybe even blackmen recently released from prison in the DC METRO AREA!
