Im about to roll out of here and get on the parkway, heading to pick up the loves of my life, yet I had to leave you all with a taste.

Have no truer words ever been spoken? There is no key to being my friend except being yourself. Someone once told me "you might not like me when im real" and I responded "id rather see you in the begining than at the end" So to be my friend the first thing you need to be is YOU!

on my hurt: I hurt and long for NYC. I am just that type of guy. I still see the anguish on peoples faces as they go through their day to day, some six years past from that terrible day. New yorkers have this spirit, this surviveability that makes us and defines us, yet at some point it also limits us in our ability to get over and past some issues... for me until they build new ones I will never get over these issues!

on substance: I am totally amazed at the lack of substance all around us. what does it truly take to be ABOUT IT? I dont really know, all i know is how to be Just James, and James deals in reality on a day to day. Sometimes I have to get movin and direct my attentions on things that others have neglected, or sometimes it means that I have to pull away from others just to maintain my sanity. All i know is that substance is satisfying, substance is enriching, and substance gets respect from those that are in need of it!.. What is the SUBSTANCE of your existence?...hmmm im on my way to go get mines now...

Amen to your piece on substance. Sometimes I get so discouraged when I see how people have this "i just don't give a fuk" attitude or when I get a taste of someone's pure selfishness. But then I have to remind myself that what another does does not make me. What I do is what makes me, so I just keep on keepin on and try not to let it stop my positive thinking.

Friendship.....real friendship takes work to get it and work to maintain it....trust doesn't happen overnight, in days, in weeks...it takes time to build it, as well as work your way through the levels of trust.

As for NYC.....I've been there twice in the last year and could honestly say I think I fell in love with the city both times....there is just something about it that sucks you in. I only wish I had a chance to visit before the towers were gone.

On substance....I haven't known you but about six months, but you definitely are a man of substance, no hidden agenda, you tell it like it is....and you always keep it real. Being real and having a purpose in life are being "about it"...... My substance...family & friends.

Friendship...as I've said many times before...my circle is small and the people in REAL. I know they've got me and they know I've got them. They will be there in a minute if I need them and vice versa.

Substance...I'm a woman of substance, so I expect the people to be the same. I don't need anyone around who handles their business with a bunch of melodrama just to get some attention! The people I surround myself with ADD to my life, not SUBTRACT from it...that's because they have substance....life is too short to live on the "shallow" side of the pool, submerse yourself in the depths of it!
